Mullaghmore - 23rd Jan

#1 Post by pete »

People:Me and others from club

Duration:7pm to 10.30pm

Tide:Flying out

Weather:Wretched

Bait:Mackerel, blk lug, razor

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:Flounder & coalfish

Report:3rd last fixture of winter club league and after tonight i wished it was the last. Bloody cold, torrential showers and big surf full of weed.....brought the beach buddy but the tide just left it about a mile behind and then the wind blew it another mile down the beach......i just love match fishing at this time of the year.

Sport was very slow and the only way to get any kind of action was to keep moving the baits, took a nice flounder of 37cm doing that along with one undersize and a small coalie.
