youghal bridge

#1 Post by daithi »

hows it going folks?
can anyone give me any info on how the bridge on the way into youghal is fishing? a mate of mine is thinking of heading that direction saturday and i might tag along.
also, what baits to bring? can dig lug and rag fairly handy, and no problem getting the usual frozen baits. so what do ye recommend for the area?
all info appreciated

thanks

the baits for youghal are crab, fresh peeler and peeler and if you can get it you could try peeler

generally speaking crab is the number 1 bait but if you cant get it try big lug and muscle baits.

i had a 5lb cod on stephens day using 10 8inch lug  on a pennell.

i would say avoid the place like a plague after all the rain recently as you havent a hope of holding bottom with all the fresh water

however if you do make it down.......... good luck
