DOUBLE FIGURE COD ENNIREILLY 20.01.2008

#1 Post by mickeyfish »

people:codathon

duration:5 hrs

tide:rising

weather:overcast in general not a bad day

bait:crab,lug,mussel &razor

rigs:2 hook clipped

results:1 cod 15 cm, 3 whitng

nice to get out to meet the few lads, fishing in general was poor enough the turn of darkness brought a few fish on , the fish were in close so no distance casting needed

regards

mickeyfish

I'd a dab and 14 whiting, I think most were to size.

Peach of a day conditions wise. Fishing wasn't great until it got dark. I might have actually packed up early if it wasn't for the spectacle of SteveCrow and MC wrestling........

arrived at 13:33 which wasnt bad considering myself and MC left my house around 10am and had a 20min break for food :)

arrived to find paulocallahan, petewex, mickeyfish, blaker and a few others that were to the right ..

Got set up and cast out and more people arrived, and then fish were starting to make an appearance,

i managed to pull out a flounder, i was going to measure it and photo it but someone (naming no names 'Herr Flick') put there boot in the way while photo was been taken and decided to throw it back into the water before i could get a proper shot of it

stayed on till after 10pm species caught were flounder, dab, poor cod, whiting and later that night finally got my cod and chips

and i see you sporting a ucc patch there so its obvious you'ld be able to outcast me.. not by much though considering it was on a rod i only touched about 2 minutes before my cast was measured :D

still though you did get 141meters against my 120 meters..

In fairness lads the real battle was going on between MC and Steve. Shocking low blow tactics employed by Steve brought it to an end pretty quickly though. I thought MC might actually die he went so pink!
