People:me

Duration:1630-2030

Tide:hw@ 1820

Weather:clear with brisk s/sw breeze, eased as it got dark

Bait:fresh lug, frozen razor

Rigs:2/0 pulleys

Results:15 coalies from 23-35cm

Report:

with the break in the bad weather today and the fact that i was beginning to suffer a bad case of cabin fever from not getting out fishing, i dug an good few lug this morning in the hope that the weather would remain someway fishable. touch wood it did.

i had origionally planned to fish one of my bass beaches but on arrival there was still a very big ground swell and this coupled with the tidal run on said beach created conditions which were unfishable. plan b was hatched which involved spin around the coast to another beach which i hadnt fished in 18months but holds the odd bass.

i set up in daylight and fished with 2 rods, both with lug and razor cocktails. bites were slow until the sun set.from then on it was as good as a bite a cast.ended up with 15 coalies and unfortunately no bass but after the weather we've had in the past few weeks it was just a pleasure to get out.

Nice to get a few coalies, seems to be plenty of them on the shore this year.
