People who were in the SAISAC competition can fill in details here

Duration:
2-7

Tide:
Neap-out at 2ish

Weather:
Brisk Westerly, some light showers, cool

Bait:
Mainly lug tipped with mackeral/squid, crab (waste of time :? !!)

Rigs: Scratching with flappers

Results:
6 fish
counters rockling 21,whiting 22
below size
3 whiting 18,19,19 , 1 rockling 18




Report:

Found it tough enough. Dropped 2 doggies on way, one with a frayed snood :( .
Should perhaps have changed to clipped downs and tried further out - worked for donal and eric

my resullts, 2 doggies,53,54cm
3 dab,27,19,19cm
3 whiting, 19,19,19cm
2 5 bearded rockling 19,19cm
lost two dogs in the surf, damn small hooks, very impressed with the sakuma mantras :D must say very well organized, nice match cards and a lot of fun even when the going got tough, will be a cork hopefully :D :D

My results were 3 doggies, 2 whiting, 2 flounder best 30cm, dab 21cm, coalie 34cm, rockling cant remember size, All counters except 1 whiting.
First ever comp :D :D :D

3 dogs
1 flounder 32
1 dab 21
2 whiting 29, 28
1 codling 42
and a few undersized fish, from rockling to codling plus a sea slug on lug

I had one bass of 23cm. Missed one definite otehr bite but that was it.
Had to leave hour and a half early due to a idiot bird locking herself out of the house. Didn't even cook me dinner as a thank you! :x

Had 4 counters.

Rockling
Whiting
Flounder
Dogfish

One codling at a record 18cm on first cast. Greedy little bugger.

A great turn out and great to get back out even if conditions weren't the best.

Fish seemed to be hard to come by but looking at the other results maybe I just still have a lot to learn.

Competition very well organised as ever, well done John, John and Jonathon.

thought i was going to blank but i caught all my fish in the last hour or was me first comp had a good day :lol: :lol:
