Congrats to all that made it into the 2007 Specimen Fish Report.
I notice plenty names of site members. Well done, Pat, Paul, Martyn, Brian(some I could recognise!)
Ronald is looking well on the cover. Rob is looking suitably chuffed inside! :) :)
The report is not available on the IFSC site yet so I have put a copy on: http://www.skuaangling.net/results_2007.htm
Post here so we know how many site members featured.
:)

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Well done to all the heads with fish in this years. Just read it from Jim's site and have to say its the most inspirational bit of angling literature you'll ever read, lots and lots of cracking fish. Had planned to go shopping today but after reading it I think I'll be of fishing :P

Well done to all!
The following is well worth noting
The following is well worth noting
The Committee will examine the issue of ìConservation Specimensî over the next two
years. It is envisaged that this specimen category would be based on fish length. Two
species, Tope and Blue Shark, will be considered for this type of alternative specimen
award. It is planned to examine the feasibility of using length measurements to establish
a conservation specimen which will allow anglers to return fish to the water quickly
without the current requirement to weigh on land. Many aspects of this proposed system
including certification of measuring instruments, the types of measurement(s) required,
threshold lengths etc remain to be discussed and the Committee would welcome written
inputs from anglers and all interested parties.

nice to see that jd, thats a long overdue move. the fact that the isfc rules for many years led to the kiling of large fish is why i never claimed anything with them
seems they are belatedly starting to realise that not killing vunerable fish has to come first
