Mine seems to have kicked the bucket, anyone who has one will know what i mean, the sliding clip on the bottom of the reel seat has just simply fallen off, wasn't dropped, badly treated or anything, anyone else had a similar problem?? I'm using shockleader or electrical tape to hold it on the rod at the minute :x
While i'm on the subject, I also had a Grauvell Zeus just stop oscillating on me after about 6 months of use, just fishing clean beaches, no rough stuff. I know this has happened to another few forum members too.
While we're on the subject, do you think the "Continental Style" Grauvell Gear is up to the task in general, I mean i've had penn 525's & shimano Aerlex's kicked around rock marks, fished for wrasse over horrible ground and they've stood the test of time, 5/6 years and still going strong. Also with rods, my decent rods are a Greys Orion & Daiwa TDSS and these have been abused big style and keep coming back for more. The Grauvell stuff seems to give problems within the year, pls discuss gentlemen.....

Have a pair of the zeus reels and have to say they are cranky enough things, really have to look after them after every trip otherwise they have a tendency to seize up. Have had bother with the spools on one of them, simply refuses to budge and is stuck solid, its the shallow spool so that reel is the braid reel and I don't change the spool anyhow. For all the small probs they are still my favourite reels
Generally i like the grauvell gear, have a couple of the rods(cant remember names) including a quiver tip style one. Three interchangeable tips, one of them though wont be interchanging no more as it snapped. :? All in all they are sweet for flattie and light line stuff but not sure bout the rough and tumble of regular shore fishing.

You cant complain about that second reel McG seeing as you didnt return it like you were supposed to once the replacement arrived.... :D
Got a bit of grauvell gear myself and havent had a bother with any of it and my gear gets dogs abuse. I use my mine for both shore and boat too. Maybe your just unfortunate? Had no problems myself apart from putting a foot on the standard tip for my Tektron which turns out, its covered with a 3 year warranty....
