I am going to be heading to Donegal over the newyear for a few days a would love to do a bit of fishing while I'm there.
We are going to be staying in Kerrykeel and there will be two novice anglers with me. If anyone could recommend a pier with lighting for a bit of night fishing or rocks with good standing for during the day.
Any advice on rigs, bait and fish being caught would be a great help as I have never fished here before.
Thanks in advance
Jonny

North of Kerrykeel there's a pier, and on the other side of the Mulroy there's another at Woodquarter, near Cranford. (Not the one that the fishfarmers use).
Dogs and Thornies.
Downings is next, and if you go as far as Downings, you might as well have a look at Tra Na Rossan. But do that in daylight.

What about rigs?
What sort of distance would you need to be casting as two of the guys are novices?
Cheers
Jonny
And lug, which you can dig at Dunfanaghy
3 hook flapper usually does me, though for Thornies I'd go with a single.
I'm pretty novice at casting myself, I just give it some welly and fire it as far out as I can..... :D
