People:myself and big mick
Duration:6pm- too long!!!
Tide: high when we arrived
Weather: dry but perishing cold!!!
Bait: mackerel fillets
Rigs: baited feathers and 1 up 1down rigs
Results: dave 13: 7 whiting, 4 dab, 2 dogfish
big mick 9: 4 whiting 3 dab, 2 dogfish
Catch and Release:: Yes/No yes
Report: When you can feel the heat from the fish on your cold hands , now thats cold!!! caught the first dab the moment the bait hit the water and we were getting bites all night. All the whiting were small , largest approx 25cm. there was an icy north east breeze blowing over the top of the pier and I fished into the harbour where i found it easier to detect bites. My feet were like blocks of ice, :idea: must invest in decent gear to keep warm :( . we stayed till 2am and after an hour and a halfs journey home my feet were still cold, never mind, i'll get over it by next weekend :wink:
