heres a pic of a conger i got , boycie held it for the photo cos thems real slimmey :lol:ok i have the tecnology and boycie got the conger :shock:

Do you get any sort of a fight out of Congers? or is it just like pulling in a big dead weight?

my only conger, of 5lb 3oz put up a fare scrap on light tackle, i couln't imagine what theyd be like

fights with congers are amazing as they can swim backwards to the fight is tottaly different to any fish and you can feel every pound of its power and every turn of its tail,,well worth the time and effort in catching em

why do you think i catch them !! like i said in the report i had those with a 12-20lb class rod with a 525 mag and 15lb line ! its great

Wonderful shore congers lads, keep em comin!
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.

right thats it, helping in-laws move this Sunday so Saturday i am going for a conger pb( anything over 5lbs :oops: ) hopefully i will finally get my first double figure shore caught fish. Nice conger mate, thanks for the inspiration

i had something similar last year fishing over a wreck on the kish bank i managed to land a 40 lb conger on a light conoflex integra uptider it was great crack. nice to see biggins from the shore did you weigh it
