hows tricks lads. i was fishing my local spot the other nite and got loads of small whiting and codling using mussel and mackerel. just wondering if the small ones are there would there be a chance of some bigger fish and what tactics should i use. fishing from the rocks gives fairly deep water at high tide say 20ft or so.

you could try live baiting one of the small fish?

yea i was reading the article in sea angler last night about live baiting might be worth a bash as there is amount of pin whiting!

if theres an abundance of smaller fish you can be sure theres a predator about.
