Co. Dublin beach - 04/11/07

#1 Post by inigo »

People: me

Duration: 16:30-17:15 (yep, 45 mins only)

Tide: high @ 19:46

Weather: mild and calm

Bait: surface lures

Results: 2 bass

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: Had an hour to spare so I decided to get a bit of fresh air. Didn't realise how slow people drive on Sundays though! :evil: Started with a white body/red head pencil. Nothing. 10 mins later I changed to a Yo-Zuri Hydropopper, mackerel pattern. First cast, BANG!! 4 lb bass!! :shock: Few runs from side to side, reel screaming... UFF!! Couple of pics and back into the water. I moved a few feet to my right, and 10 mins later, another BANG!! :twisted: 3 lb this time. Few pics, and again back into the sea. This time it was caught in video. :P It was AMAZING to see how they attacked the lure in such a calm sea!

ADVICE: 2 bass in half an hour!! So if you have 30 mins and are thinking, shall I go?, GET OUT THERE! :wink:

Well done, good fishing. Nice to be able to use surface lure aswell.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

i was down in Dungarvin spinning with poppers recently and i found that the saltiga popper from diawa is well worth the buy tried alot of different poppers and rapalas and the saltiga worked wonders had 5 good bass that day. Its a fantastic way to fish for bass the buzz you get when you see the fish snapping at your lure.

thats a lovely fish you got there i would love to catch a bass on a lure in dublin

feel free to pm the spot to me thanks :?:

And I'm sorry for those of you who asked, but I was asked to keep this mark quiet.....
