greystones co. wicla 4/11/07

People:bleedin loads(comp on beach very ruff looking bunch!)

Duration:6-10

Tide:high water 7.30 ish

Weather:overcast sea as flat as a pancake

Bait:razor,mac,hermit(crab not old man :lol: )
Rigs:two hook clipped 3/0 and 3 hook flapper size 4

Results:3 coalies, 1 eastcoast lunker,5 flounder,3 doggies

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:got down to the beach and caught fish not to hectic managed two cups of tea inbetween bites was well chuffed with the codling 40cm on razor 110 yards out coalies and flounder on mac mostly
20 feet out on a telescopic rod and baitrunner good sport on light gear. oh i nearly forgot i lost a little sea trout to he fell of in the suds i thought it was a schoolie for such a small fish it sure did wriggle :lol:

Howya Roger was fishin Greystones today too! Hoping for Flounder & Coalies myself, just a few small dabs showed! Where you on the North or South Beach?

i put the towel over the fish to stop it flapping all over the place while i get the camera out ,they go back a bit better the less stress u put them under ,imagine getting pulled out of your home in the middle of your dinner and some freekin weido trying to take your picture :lol: :lol:

was good fishing there on sun i had in the comp 5 flounder 4 whiting and 1 dogfish for myself

it was a dalkey angling club comp

ah poor roger only came down cause he knew he would be safe on the beach with us

strangley i didnt hear rogers church bells about i think joe scarred him of

jingle jangle all the way :lol: if anyone finds a bell down that way its my luck one lost it in the sand :roll: it will bring you more and bigger fish than you ever thought possible NOT :lol: oh while we are on the subject how many fish won the comp and did anyone manage a codling? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: "them bell them bells they catch de fish " 8)
