dun laoghaire east pier,02/nov
People:just me,Salvo from Sicily
Duration:12:30-3.00
Tide:rising
Weather:glorious
Bait:rag
Rigs:two hooks on float rig
Results: fat wrasse,small(very small)pollack
Catch and Release:: yes!
Report:only today i feel brave enough to post my first report..tried the inside of the east pier,gorgeous weather to go fishing. set up my float rig and started fishing around 1. only 10mins and bang!i initially thought i was caught in the weed but quickly realized i was actually on a big fish. after the battle in the water,my argos reel on my argos rod couldnt reel the fish up,so i had to lift the rod up on the pier... :lol: :lol: the result was a nice wrasse. happy like a baby,i take a quick pic and release the lady. caught a few tiny pollack as well, but the wrasse will stay for longer in my mind.
p.s. : i really like the website and get all my tips from it
p.s. 2 : my picture is 1.25 Mb, im not being able to attach it, any help?

stick with it.
even if you were only able to visit 1 new venue a month, in a year you would have a dozen decent venue at your disposal.
keep an eye on the shore angling reports here on the site and try and get to the hot spots while they are producing.
it is really only by meeting other angler on the beach/pier/boat that you can really learn, websites/books and magazines are all well and good but the best way to learn is to meet people
