Hi guys,

Anyone know if the codling have arrived in Youghal or the river in Waterford yet ?? I've heard there are a few small fish showing .

paul, few yrs. back i fished ferrypoint at this time of year over l.w. which was at 1p.m. first 2 casts got 2 coddling of 5 and 7lb.(both p.b.s) havent fished there since, think i will go there tomorrow see if there any about.

Cheers mate,

We go there every year around this time and yes there are some very good codling there but I still think its a bit mild for them yet.If your going you might let me know how you get on !!

hey guys,

theyre there alright but a bit on the wee side at the minute another week or two i reckon before we see anything over the three pound mark. what is noticable though is that they are only in around the harbour and not yet on the beaches in any numbers.
