Isn't the formula as follows .

Length x (Girth x Girth ) divide by 800 .

Thanks for all the replies lads! at the end of The day to me the really important thing is that the fish has potential weight! i.e It could end up being a record fish because as we read this it is cruising the coast line hunting crabs and other tasty morsels just like it was before being rudely int erupted by my lure! I have had a really successful summer and Autumn and the more I do it the more i love it, the more I respect the fish that give me so much excitement.... Its like being ten all over again..
