Fishing tonight, first time in a while.
Very strong southerly wind & plenty of weed..... not a sinner to be seen for miles.
Actually wasn't going to bother fishing at all, as it was a bit on the rough side. But sure what the heck, we had gone that far and had a bucket of fresh peeler so we said we'd lob the rods in for 20mins.
Had just begun getting dark and full tide was turning.
3mins in, bang! - 8.5lb Bass :D (My first bass this year, might I add! - and not before time...).
Stayed on for about an hour after that but not a sniff of anything...
I believe a few other fine Bass have been taken from this mark over the past week (hence us going there).

Great fish, thinking about going tonight, on what beach were you, was there weed in it, fished the coombe yesterday had few nice wrass and 1strap conger
