the day of N.M. is the best day by a mile.+ the day before is very good.
then the day before F.M. and for 4 days after. there are a sharp rise in catches 3 days after both N. and F.

14th. 4 bass best bass of the 4 days today 9.25
15th.10 bass
16th.20 bass NEW MOON just after midnite small surf
17th 3 bass

MAY 07 on bait
30th april 11 bass
1st 6 bass
2th. 18 bass DAY OF FULL MOON small surf+best bass of 3 days at 5lb.
3th. 3 bass

JUNE 07 on bait/lure
28th 1 bass
29th.3 bass
30th,11 bass DAY OF FULL MOON wet/windy start of surf + best bass of the 3 days 5 lb.

AUG. 07 on lure

26th. 6
27th 4
28th. 10 DAY OF FULL MOON cold north wind. + best bass of the 3 days 6lb.

SET. 07 on lure

10th.3 bass
11th.12 bass DAY OF NEW MOON flat clam best bass of 4 days 5.5,lb.
12th.11 bass
13th.3 bass
on most of the above dates i fished with guys of this site. i have data goin back 25 years 13,000 fish. its easy to see when my next good catches will be. almost all the above bass were released unharmed. think we kept 10/12.

in the above examples,
the best days each month were eather the day of new/full
4 out of 5 biggest fish also taken on day of new/full.

JULY 1996 total 350 bass inc. fish of 11 + 12.5lb. in 18 days fishin
16th. 19 bass
17th. 80 bass
18th. 55 bass
19th 104 bass the day of :) guess (best ever days bassing)
20th 24 bass.
all on black redgill or flyin C. 282 bass in 5 days on 1 mile section of cunn.

JULY 1995 total 336 sea trout, inc. fish 7lb. in 9 fishin days
10th 26 c. trout
11th 63 c trout
12th 115 c.trout guess :P what day :?: :?: (best ever days sea trout)
13th. 63 c.trout.
all on home made flys or maggots. 266 sea trout in 5 days river tay.

july 1999, lug hole on river colligan.
7 anglers :shock: arrived at 10.15, the chairman + commitey of local club. i hours fishin 1 had 40 c trout they had less than 10 between them. :D .. the other anglers were/ J.O.R./M.O.R./A.O.R./J.O.R./T.C./B.W./E.L.

Aug.22th 2005 well known local bass angler said flyin Cs were no good, i met him and 3 others at cunn. that eve. i had 25 bass they had 1 between them :) . the others were J.C./S.L./D.P./?

there are more salmon caught on Cs. every yr. than all the other lures combined. they are i.m.o. the best allround lure ever invented.

pretty good gazo better than avarage, from tue. to sun. 30 very good could see some of the best fishing of yr.

Its takin' me a while to read thru all this..but fair play to ya.You certainly have all the facts and figures to back it up.I will now take more notice of the moon phases.We are going to go on Sunday morning so what do think it will be like at the spit considering the new moon is on the 9th ??

M.C. take a look at the recent tramore big bass report,,not good for numbers...all of the specimen bass reported in waterford this yr. have been taken a day before/after/on day of first Q.
its a o.k. time of month to fish...
