people:myself,ronald.

time:2hrs 30mins

weather:cloudy,dirty water,slight chop.

bait:rag,mack.

results:shore rockling,pouting,shanny.

report:We headed down for the rockling hoping that the past weeks rough weather had got them feeding and it seemed to work.I was getting a shore rockling every drop and ended up with 21,it looked like they had been feeding hard as they were all stuffed with solid guts.Ronald had 6 shores and a pouting then we made a quick move and had a shanny each before heading home. All fish fell to rag.
A very enjoyable session and i think thats the most shores i`ve had in a session :)

People:myself and davy

Duration:3 hrs

Tide:lw about 19.00 hrs

Weather:sunny ,light ne wind

Bait:ragworm

Rigs:single hook paternoster

Results:pollack ,ballan wrasse ,corkwing wrasse ,goldshinny wrasse ,poorcod , long spined sea scorpion .

Catch and Release:: Yes ,nothing worth eating

Report:

Davy had some worm left from the weekend ,and after getting a few wrasse last night I decided to take a run down with him to see if i could get a few .
There wasn't much happening around low water but once the tide started to come in the fish went on the feed ,a good few wrasse showing up which is good to see as it normally shows the start of the summer fish making an apperance ,I managed the biggest of the night at around 1lb 4oz (dont ask for that in cms ) which was good craic on the wee rod .
Only downer on the night was the smart asses throwing bottles over the back of the pier ,resulting in a near miss then a few words in their ear

I am genuenly in awe of you two, its quite sad really. You make Bangor seem like one of the best marks in the Country! God help the place when the Mackeral start showing and the usual ******* start showing their faces along with their drink and lidl rods. Definately gonna get here more in the summer... i hope. :?

Its good to see the pier fishing well again ,there was a bit of a dead spot for a couple of months .
The species hunt makes the fishing a little more interesting ,even though we've been doing it for years ourselves

i`d have to agree, you cant beat a bit of friendly competition and to hear the mumbled mutterings of swear words aimed in your direction as you catch a bigger or better fish
