Blue shark encounter while digging lug (yes, that's right)

A mackie basher i know swears blind that he had a shark of some type follow his 3 mackeral on feathers near helvick about 4ft long fin out of the water and all he nearly fell in after the experience

After watching JAWS last nite with the kids I'm not sure I'l be digging baitfor a while, Great photos and a once in a lifetime experience, thanks for sharing it.

Actually I did; nice big black lug too--though the digging was a balls. Caught me no fish either; in fact, I reckon all of my fishing karma for the next two years is now used up

Could be an orca maybe? I remember when that trio of orcas came into Cork Harbour a few years back. I was standing on Kennedy pier in Cobh, and saw THREE fins four foot high emerge from the water in the distance. I nearly fell in too ...
