A mackie basher i know swears blind that he had a shark of some type follow his 3 mackeral on feathers near helvick about 4ft long fin out of the water and all he nearly fell in after the experience :shock:

Actually I did; nice big black lug too--though the digging was a balls. Caught me no fish either; in fact, I reckon all of my fishing karma for the next two years is now used up :(

Could be an orca maybe? I remember when that trio of orcas came into Cork Harbour a few years back. I was standing on Kennedy pier in Cobh, and saw THREE fins four foot high emerge from the water in the distance. I nearly fell in too ...

Great post and excellent pictures, but does anyone know were i can get metal waders, because i dont fancy going back in the water with them things about :lol:
