I was also surprised that the Aerial was not on the A frame.... Might be something to do with the mount obstructing the Starboard Nav light :?: not too sure.. I might have to take a look at moving it sometime in the future. I will also need to move the VHF, as I would have hoped that it would be lounted on the roof, but I didn't ask. I suppose that's what happens if you leave a decision to someone else.

Boarding ladder and Aux Bracket look nice, but I will need to modify the Aux bracket for the short shaft aux. A spacer and some hard wood should do it. I'll measure it up when I get her in the water....

I have the 2 x 4 rod holders that you talked about. I was looking at mounting them... Looks like you have to drill through the transom. Something I would like to avoid, and the bolts look a tad short. Did you drill yours in? I was thinking of some silkaflex :?:

Also, Now that I might have to strart moving things around, there will no doubt be a few holes to fill. What is the best way of doing this?

Yes i drilled them into the transom. I would not be too concerned unless you are going to take them off again.

Did you drill all the way through, or just use a long screw for the hold? I hate the idea of drilling into a new boat, or even an old one for that matter. :wink:

Yes drilled right through. These are the white rod racks we are talking about are'nt they? Remember always only use stainless steel. Go to All metal fasteners in fnglas and they have anything you want. Also make sure and use plastilock nuts (anti vibration) as these do not work themselves loose when the boat is being bounced around on waves :D Drilling holes is a pet hate of mine too but as i said unless you are going to take them off later whats the difference? Thats why i was saying to plan the boats layout first. If you want to take a peak at what i've done for inspiration you are more than welcome. Give me a shout. I think i gave you my number already? Make sure and mount them high enough up the transom as not to allow the butts of the rods to sit on the swim platform. This will stop the rods twisting and moving while the boat is going along. The rods and reels should fit snugly into the top part of the slot of the holders jamming in almost. This makes for no movement of the rods at all when underway :wink:

When it comes to power boats everything has to be rock solid or it will come loose or break. There is no room for anything less. I would advise the use of bolts!

Yeah, they are the white ones. The bolts that came with it look a little short. I will call over to that place when I measure up, for a a new set of bolts.

I will give you a bell for sure. I am away this weekend, so will give you a bell, early next week for a spy at your boat..

Got the first 2 hours break in done Sean. Not allowed to go over 3500rpm for the first 2, so I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours. Even then it was a bit snotty. Looking forward to a nice break in the weather if it ever comes. :cry:

Was out on Lough Corrib in some evil conditions over the weekend trying for a Trout. Only managed 6 Pearch and some frozen fingers :evil:

What I wouldn't give for some nice weather on a Saturday and Sunday.
