Re: Bass being commercially exploited again!?
Is that 7 tons a day or for the whole two weeks? Do you know where they're landing them? I'd like to see this with my own eyes/camera.fisher of bass wrote:wake up lads!! did anyone see the blue and red pair trawlers off cork harbour all week ,,for the last 2 weeks there doing a Bass survey all along the coast every harbour and bay ,,they had 7 ton for the last 2 weeks,,,,f###### c####

Not to undermine or downplay what might be actually going on here but to the best of your knowledge are the bass being returned as part of this survey? I'm obviously extremely curious!!
Protect the magical sport of sea angling and spread the word that conservation is the way forward. Put fish back!!!!

Poor Boy
if he is having problems find a few fish for the plate
he can follow me anytime he wants.
Two or three hours out there and I’m bored from hauling in fish.

Re: Bass being commercially exploited again!?
Boats involved were 2 pelagic vessels Lovon and Carmona.
They were fishing for pilchards which are ever present along the coast.
They are a NON-quota species. They were processed in Baltimore where they kept 25 workers busy for 3 weeks.
About a box of haddock and whiting were caught over the 3 weeks as by-catch.NO Bass were caught or landed.
Please get the facts right before posting......Thanks

If your shooting accuracy is as good as your stories you have nothing to fear!
Consider writing fairy stories instead!
