1, it,s not a shortage of food
2, it,s nothing to do with weather, wind,temp,s both sea and air,air pres,ect.
3, it not the actuel tide hight or sea state.

don't know if this helps or puzzles you more but the bass i kept on the 29th had
absolute zero/nothing in its stomach!! not even digested food (crap/waste!!)
caught 2 hrs after high tide by the way!
checked it thoroughly as i gutted it just to see what they are feeding on!
as for all the others i caught this year i c&r so can't say!
cleanest fish i ever gutted!
