Benone? It would be with some reluctance if i'd journey up their to catch flounders Pookie. St. John's is a cracking venue, any number of species. Donegal Town or Killybegs would be good base for accomodation and few pints afterwards.

Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

I have no problem with driving long distance. Just think that there would be more crack if we were all on a beach somewhere.

Silence telling its own story, not to worry. Anyone just on for a meet up and a bit of craic, see the post on St. Johns Point from MarkJ

Hope to make it just to meet a few people,
Depends on dates though.
I think the trouble is that this post is not looked at every night, for example I have not opened this for a couple of weeks, maybe it needs to be highlighted again.

I think SAI club were talking of having a comp up north ,why not tie in with that and hammer the match men  at least then the boys south of the border might have a chance with some decent anglers
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

I'd be up for it. Benone strand in october? Should be plenty of flats around and maybe a bass or two. The craic in Portstewart should be good too!

The first leg could be on the beach and the 2nd leg could be in Kelly's niteclub  I'd say us southern lads would win both legs :P

This is what the Sac has
Sunday 08-Oct-06 10:00 - 15:00 12:30 3.3 m TBA Antrim

So can we agree a venue 7/8 october, and have the sac contest AND north/south match together.
Benone maybe?
