here's hoping.....maybe worth putting up a post or sticky to advise all anglers to take good sharp clear photos of trawling/netting activity close to shore ,gather it on the site somewhere, and perhaps use it to try to get something done about it sandman???

I agree with Phil, though its something we don't see in close much on the Down Coast.

If anyone does happen to get any pics of boats trawling or gillnetting close to the shore, post them up. If nothing else, it'll be useful for us to know which marks to avoid. I fished Portsalon not long after that boat was in and didn't even get baits touched - not even crabs. Wasn't that surprised but decided to try it anyway, just to see was there anything going after the boat had been in.

For anyone thinking of fishing Portsalon, try the little bay at the south end. The main beach seems to be a dead loss.
