turbot,brill and black sole are a bit pissy for my liking but monk or hake are beautiful,not too strong and really dense and meaty.scallops and crab claws fried in garlic butter would be the perfect starter.

poached turbot with herbs and garlic is hard to beat :P
and pollock done in a stout batter with plenty of mixed herbs and ground black pepper added to the batter, :P :P :P :P
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"

i dont eat much fish but i breaded a few whiting fillets(the few that were big enough to fillet :roll: ) a while back and they were rather tasty.
i had 2 dabs with chips too a few weeks back and they were even nicer.

I would say Yellow fin Tuna. The only fish I eat raw and tastes great. Sashimi anyone? :D

At one time I would said monkfish handa down . That is till I had specimen john dory a few years ago off Tory . Melts in your mouth very easy to fillet and skin.
