turbot,brill and black sole are a bit pissy for my liking but monk or hake are beautiful,not too strong and really dense and meaty.scallops and crab claws fried in garlic butter would be the perfect starter.

i dont eat much fish but i breaded a few whiting fillets(the few that were big enough to fillet
) a while back and they were rather tasty.
i had 2 dabs with chips too a few weeks back and they were even nicer.

At one time I would said monkfish handa down . That is till I had specimen john dory a few years ago off Tory . Melts in your mouth very easy to fillet and skin.
