Sea angling (especially from the shore) must have one of the worst gender balances of all sports in Ireland. This is a bad thing. But why aren't there more women out there? Hunting, golfing, even shooting appear to have more women participants. I'd say the balance is higher amongst fly-fishing community, but I don't get the sea-angling situation.

Any ideas?

i dunno i have seen more women coarse and pike fishing than fly fishing, i know i prefer my sea and coarse fishin to fly fishin. no reason women shouldnt be into sea fishing.
