I heard Browns Bay beach produces a few Bass on the right conditions Alan. 8)

There are some around n.down dan you just need to work hard on a mark near millisle ,they are definly there :wink:
you just have to put the hours in like al and jordan ,come hell or high water no matter what the weather those ejjits will be fishing :lol: :lol: :P
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

i mite give millisle a go for 'em on the next day theres a good easterl wind and a good swell in the water. i heard that their around ballywalter, but dont know. suppose if theres golden grey mullet around millisle theres no reason why there shouldnt be bass either.

would love to see a photo of that golden grey dan ,was it caught in millisle ? didn't think they had reached this far north yet . might be worth trying for them next year if it's def a golden grey .

Well done lads, I had my very first bass on killiney last night and got a thrill from that. I can only imagine how you guys were feeling. Well done again!!

I have heard of people catching bass out at ballyhalbert but never seen any evidence of it. There has been bass caught of browns bay but I dont think in any great numbers though

i have a photo it isnt very clear but you can see the golden mark on the head w's a fine fighter for sure.

i heard of one or two on benone which is a good bit further north than millisle, but havn't seen a pic yet.

yep but this was a dark golden colour on the report i put on davy put a pic of a grey mullet with the speck on the gill, but mine was a lot darker.

it was about a pound.

i don't think it was a thick lipped.

during the summer months we heard lots of rumors of bass in the same area stevie, but we never saw any pictures of any. and i have come to realize that when it comes to angling you should'nt believe all you hear, unless there's a pic to back it up :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:

Great report and well done.

I wonder are these bass coming across from Scotland - they're inundated in some places with them - Barry Scholes was telling stories that most of us found hard to believe (well it is Scotland for heavens sake) but based on this report, I wonder if it's all true? Lots of fresh relatively young bass like that on the beaches in Antrim is wonderful news...
