There are some around n.down dan you just need to work hard on a mark near millisle ,they are definly there
you just have to put the hours in like al and jordan ,come hell or high water no matter what the weather those ejjits will be fishing

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

i mite give millisle a go for 'em on the next day theres a good easterl wind and a good swell in the water. i heard that their around ballywalter, but dont know. suppose if theres golden grey mullet around millisle theres no reason why there shouldnt be bass either.

yep but this was a dark golden colour on the report i put on davy put a pic of a grey mullet with the speck on the gill, but mine was a lot darker.
it was about a pound.
i don't think it was a thick lipped.

during the summer months we heard lots of rumors of bass in the same area stevie, but we never saw any pictures of any. and i have come to realize that when it comes to angling you should'nt believe all you hear, unless there's a pic to back it up

Re: county antrim beach Bass frenzy sat 6th dec
Great report and well done.
I wonder are these bass coming across from Scotland - they're inundated in some places with them - Barry Scholes was telling stories that most of us found hard to believe (well it is Scotland for heavens sake) but based on this report, I wonder if it's all true? Lots of fresh relatively young bass like that on the beaches in Antrim is wonderful news...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
