Well the only way to get a grip on weights is by buying them in your local tackle shop there are some made by a company called breakaway great for holding bottom you dont need to put grips on weights or is there some you can put on weights :?
Weights dont matter when you catch fish of that size whether yor using grips or weights with out grips well done lads nice fish.
I hope to post a pic of a monster cod this winter from one of the deepwater marks in Clare.

caz, who ever you actually are as i dont know, i thought you were joking with your posts at first but no smilies so i guess you are being serious. i have never met dbrock boycie or any of the lads so i have no interest in defending them for any reason (not that they need it)...
but if i saw that bass and was asked to guess a weight on it i would have guessed about 9lbs. have you met dbrock, do you know what height he is, what weight he is... i dont and its very difficult to know 100% the size of a fish against something/someone you dont know the size of. i would think that if he is an average size person than around 9lbs seems a very reasonable weight to me
you attitude, and your comment about dubs as it didnt seem to be in jest, sucks by the way.
are you joking did i miss something???
