Cant blame ya for that nige, but would be bad form not to have a meet up there again, the fishing was poor last time but the craic can more than make up for it, we'll just have to hit the pub earlier next time!
dont worry.. i'll drag him.. i still have that funny money from last time to get rid of

Kilmuckridge February 10 2-7 pm (MA)
February a bad time of year for fishing but myself and mark have fished here at this time of the year and had close on 20 flatties in a session, mostly small but quite a few big enough to count
looks kike I am unable to make these first two, work issues.

Apparently the northern lads are mad to get a smoothound so this would be a good incentive to get lads travelling for the return leg of the north V south . Plenty of Bass venues near by too. Tope at the Point.
Boat booked out of Kilmore Quay for July 8- (jd,jw+petekd so far)
Enterprise, from Rathmullan, Skipper Niall Doherty booked for May 13th, the day after Mullaghmore comp. Mullaghmore is around 1 hour away from Letterkenny for those who wish to attend both boat and shore competitions. We finish the Mullaghmore comp at 6 pm so plenty of time to make way to Letterkenny that evening should you so wish. (Ill provide free guided tours of bars and nightclubs.... :D )
Would suggest saving a couple of hours on this trip to have a crack at the Tope which should be running then.

Boat Trip/Competition booked aboard "The Chieftain" from Cobh skippered by Mark O'Reilly AKA CobhSkipper for the day after the Garretstown competition. We had a great day aboard last year with a single fish being the deciding factor on the day. We hit a shoal of cod on the way back in and were pulling them in 3 at a time....super stuff!

I was thinking if we get some very calm weather in Jan / Feb would we be able to get offfshore for some big coalfish. Probably best to wait for the weather before making the booking?
I have a provisional booking with luke aston for 21/7/7 tope fishing. I had another provisional blue fin tuna trip booked for 15/9, but will reschedule that. Having never caught a blue shark, i'd like to have a go. what about a couple of days in august? Would that be the best time?

either 25th or 26th /8/7 (to be finalised shortly) If the weather is calm, try for a blue shark

Can I suggest the best 4 results from the 5 Boat comps to count for the Boat Master Angler? I know for a fact that I wont be able to make one of them and with the schedule being as full as it is it might encourage more people to have a tilt at it.
