Fished that beach this summer when we were down camping, stunning looking but didn't have much joy except for a really big mackerel on a strip of....you guessed it..mackerel. For the whole time I was down on it there were loads of terns flying back and forth taking sandeels
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

With bass it's a matter of getting in the right place at the right time. If you have limited time during a holiday, finding/hiring someone who has done the research might pay off.[/quote] Hey akuma,im not hard to find....have a session any time, you just let me know if your ever up north,it would be a pleasure.regards

Great report Akuma and fine photo's, glad to see you enjoyed yourself.
By the way that cove appears in the film 'Ryans Daughter' - it's where all the villagers are trying to push the lorry up the hill.
I'm sure you remember that hill/track down to the beach.
I have fished that beach a number of times but never had much luck, very strong under currents it even makes swimming hard.
There was a ship wrecked on this spot and the remains where there for a number of years until it was broken up and taken away for scrap. Thankfully there's nothing left of her now that could spoil the beauty of the place.
