A big ask but they have managed to do it elsewhere and with a small population like ours it is even more important that we try to get all anglers involved in order to boost our numbers, revenue and appeal. Then we might get a seat at the table.

Angling Council of Ireland:
This Website is a tool for today to inform anglers and to allow them to engage in angling politics, in current developments and to contribute their views. It allows anglers to further indulge their passion and provides access to a host of new and interesting topics.

Founded nine years ago, the ACI is affiliated to the Irish Sports Council and has become the recognised umbrella organization for the five disciplines of angling at national level. The ACI is the forum for debate and discussion of the issues that are of most concern to anglers and provides the platform for anglers to address and find resolution for these issues. It is the powerhouse where anglers can develop strategies to meet the demands on angling in the present and for the future.

An important objective of the ACI is to present angling concerns to the highest authorities and to ensure that the voice of angling is heard clearly in the halls of legislation.

Thanks Tanglerat. I must look into the Angling Council. I have never heard of them!
