it was 73 cm long and girth was 18iches. A lot of weed on the line dampened the fight a bit. And know im not going to stuff.
The fisherey board have asked for a scale sample of him so we might get some info on the the fish back from that, age etc.
Do any of you know how to tell the sex of a bass.

Beautiful fish, well done. My first and biggest was around 7 and it gave one hell of a fight, I can only imagine the fight from that monster.

Grat fish..!! Probably right to keep it too. Unless you are very lucky you might see one or two in your lifetime.
Did you have one of those "Dont come off....dont come off" moments...!!! :-)

The thought is that the best bass for breeding would be 5-9Ib fish.
These are the class of bass we should try to return if that is possible.
A fish over 10Ib is probably past it.
