Re: Wexford Hounds 10 June 2011
Danny, were you fishing far south of Courtown?
Not looking for your specific mark, just a general pointer - planning a trip for later in the week, be nice to know if I need to head a bit further south than planned
Thanks.

Good stuff, they should be up in your part of the parish soon

Aye, we get em during day light hours when tide is rising. Frightened the life out of a few holiday makers a couple of years ago down in Curracloe when I pulled out a large Hound after they went for a paddle close by. Their faces were priceless and they left the beach soon afterchilly123 wrote:Im a big hound fan. Had a loud of crackers last year around the southeast area! Just wondering would u catch them during daylight on a flooding tide? its a pain wen the coleman runs out of juice wen there is good fish to be had....

Cheers Neil, yeah it was a nice change away from Billy's ..wont last long thoughbaitdigger wrote:Nice fishing Danny, better than messing around with those silvers![]()

crackin photos there of some great big smooth hounds! Great session lads

No bother dac, we have never seen a difference in fresh and frozen when it comes to the Hounds, they don't seem to be fussy. Pity a few other species don't take a leaf out of their book !dac69696969 wrote:So jealous lads......absolutely class fishing. Thanks for including about the catch rate between the fresh and frozen peeler- that often haunts me after a poor smoothie session if I couldnt get my hands on fresh crab.Great result
Cheers lad, I cant fix the phone thoughdfella25 wrote:Super report Danny. Just wish I could see the pics on my phone:(

Eoghan wrote:Every year danny, ye make me jealous this time every year...!!!
Super stuff...! Never caught one, must give it a lash this year. If I can just drag myself away from
the silver fellas for a while....! Should have tried it in the last few weeks while the ban was on.

Get it into ya Eoghan !! ya cant beat a good Hound session. Il still go for them over the next couple of months...once you pop ...you cant stop

Cheers Al, there on there way up Boss, only a mater of time before your stuck into one up there.Al wrote:Eoghan wrote:Every year danny, ye make me jealous this time every year...!!!

I think if you have a few nice hounds you'll be dragging yourself away from them instead of the Bass
Fair Play Danny, Still only catching pups in Wicklow, fingers crossed the bigger boys won't be far behind
