Hi it was cardy rocks from 7.30 - 9.30 high tide was around 6 , if ya try it and have any luck let us know please thanks 

I think posting regular reports on this area is a great idea. Very seldom see reports along this stetch of coast, might have something to do with the amount of blanks which might be posted. I'm living in Drogheda and tend to fish Mornington beach if I have bait left over but have never caught anything. The mouth of the Boyne can sometimes throw up the odd small pollock and I've heard of many reports of Macks being caught but have never had any. I have had a couple of small bass off the rocks on feathers when fishing for mackeral though.
I'll post up any reports wheather banks or not and look forward to reading your reports too.

baltray trows up big bass every year and clogherhead can throw up mixed bags inc pollock,wrasse,codling and huge flounder from the beach

I was thinking of giving baltray a go myself,is there any safe place to leave the car,dont mind a bit of a walk to the beach but id hate to have it broke into

fished the rise this morning in Laytown for flats, rag& mack, wishbone rig and 3 hook flapper, Blanked Cracking morning to be out though!

Tried the bremore head area casting towards the cardy rocks the ones with the red pole on em,zero interest on any bait,lug sandeel crab and sardines fresh fillets,all came in untouched,sammy the seal and about six of his buddys were laughing at me so I moved towards gormanston came across a little sandy cove dat ill definitely try again in a surf seems a bit deeper than gormo beach,blank again not a sniff,so moved to delvin mouth same story again,zero,anyway hopefully we'll get a southeasterly on the sixteenth fingers crossed,for got to say dat was Sunday 29th

Fished dat cove a few times before with no luck. Defo worth tryin again wit a bit of a surf.

I like the look of that little cove, I imagine with a bit or surf it could be a good Bass spot....

Does anyone know if there is any way to get to the place looking out at the Cardy rocks from the road. It's a pain in the ass trecking to it and would be dangerous at night especially carying all the gear!!

U can get near it if u turn at the brow of the hill between the delvin and balbriggan,it ends in a cul de sac,u can park in the field at the end short walk to the head,de farmer who owns the field is on the right,please ask permission if u see him hes cool with it but its nice to be nice ,best thing is de car is safe ,again ask him we dont want this handy one messed up,if u are stuck for bait the bay to the right is full of lug and below the cliff has maddies

Lads fish that area quite a lot but never heard of cardy rocks and a place to fish in Ashboune!!!!!!. I sometimes go and set up just on the bend after the mace shop the one with the pub in the laybey only because its handy and close to the car... but a big prob with weed!!!!. saw a mark near the middle of the village that looked promising no weed when other mark was covered in it.

Yea its worth posting about this Mark but have heard of a few insistent of trouble with cars!!!!!! had that down on Wicklow beach too...

Nice to know you can drive down... save lugging all the gear!

you might like to know, I saw a couple of small turbot in the shallows at low water on Gormanston Beach. Good few small flounder too, the bigger of the two turbot was only about 4 inches accross, but it was interesting to see them. i've never caught one there.

Has anyone caught any of these around here??
