That's a strange looking flounder

& very sweet flattie session lads

great to see so many about,, can't wait to get out for a cast!!

Flounders often seem to have spots like this,at least in other parts of Europe like Belgium,Holland and Denmark. Always nice to catch a lot of flounders from the shore like this.Was on a north Mayo beach,near the mouth of a little river west of Downpatrick a couple of years ago and caught nice big flounder on the locally dug big lug. The children had there first Irish flounder there and enjoyed eating them too.Great sport on spinning gear and ideal to try a flounderspoon.Nice catch of 48 you guys !Send some back to get there grandma I hope ?

well to be quiet honest the beaches here arent the best,,,lacken is not certainly throwing up anything,,enniscrone is hit or miss,i find from june onwards is the best around here

nice going noel n jason,thats a nice bit of fishing,,,you must have got in before the local trawler !!!!! i was back ther last week,,soon as i landed this local trawler was just heading away, 3 flounder is all i pulled out of it,,

god, but you's had them all in that trip. lefties, righties and even a michael jackson flounder who was'nt sure if he was black or white
