Great session lads, that doggie looks too comfortable - he could be beside the fire place or he's just well trained

Well done

KERRY1 wrote:Well done guys, great fishing. No matter where you two go, you's always manage to come up with the goods 8) K2 and I are thinking of taking a run up the coast sometime soon to see if there are any elusive Northern Bass lurking about. I was speaking to Dawsey the other day and he said about perhaps us all getting a trip arranged and heading up together sometime which sounds like a plan. Let me know if your free or intersted and we'll take a run up and see what's about.
Great report and pictures.

That is a fine wee pouting, I was surprised by this one. Ive never had one off the pier there and fished there a good bit. I usually fish the rocks at Limerick point about 1 mile to the north, at Dalriada slipway. Never had a pouting there either, its a species I now want to tick off the list on this bit of shore now. Nice one.

Have you ever caught a bass on this part of the coast, Ive heard of a few being caught but the only one I have ever seen was a 5lber that was caught in a commercial salmon net in mid summer about 1995.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).
