Have the 8' Teklon which I use for all my light to medium plastics. I cannot fault this rod. Light responsive and bags of power to subdue Bass up to 6/7 pounds. For plug work I went with the Tenryu Rod Bar 270 which is phenominal. This was a present from my family and I'm delighted with it. I use they fro mthe boat and the shore. They are matched with stradic 4000's and the Technuim 4000 loaded with Varivas Avani Sea Bass Braid and Daiwa Tournament Braid. Great pieces of kit that have stood me in good stead all season. Hope this helps. I have cast the Bushwackers and they are nice rods but I'm happy with what I have.
