I know how you feel, they are wrecking me head too! All joking aside, I do find it easier to catch bass compared to mullet, but that's just what I have found from my own experience of fishing for them both. But the mullet put up much more of a fight compared to bass I think, again, only my opinion. What do you think?

Bass are easy to catch - the difficult thing is to predict where they are going to be at a particular stage of the tide under the prevailing weather conditions.
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

2012: 79

Yip mullet are head wrecking at times especially when there are big shoals swimming by all the bait in your swim and won't touch anything on offer, but bass can be finicky buggers as well, but theres always one that will have a go,i suppose its to do with their lifestyle and what they feed on,they can be carnavores and rarely will let a free snack go bye even if their full,a bit like me and chocolate :D
Maybe it is ballyquinn maybe its not, eitherway its too hard to tell and all the more reason to bring out the gear, bit of a treasure hunt to find a few silver fellas using as Frank says knowledge of tides and weather conditions etc.If you have a feeling certain places have fish then give it a go as you'd never know at least thats what i keep telling myself no matter how many blanks i may encounter on the mark because just when all seems futile, slam the rod buckles over. 8) .
Kevin's enthusiasm is unreal when fishing for bass and thats before he even hits a fish.I think kevin will need lots of lead in his boots if he does'nt want to float away on a high when he will catch more than his super 4 fish haul and believe me that day is coming now that he is trying further a field
Enjoy the hols and will catch up with you on your return.
