Massive congrats must go to AG for his casting at the weekend which saw him coming 4th overall over the 2 days against some of the worlds best casters! 8)

Great weekend was had by all! Paddy is in the process of making a movie and has loads of pics! :D

A truly fantastic weekend! Big hats off to Mark and all the crew at Sussex Casting Club for such great hospitality and the very smooth running comp and great food, it was a pleasure to cast with you all again and the cracking venue was just the icing on the cake.

Top wanging by our Larry for his awsome display for a well deserved 4th place over all and esp his 100g proformance with the "GOLD REEL OF DEATH" knotching up a new PB on its debut on the feild. Also top marks to Marty who belted a massive new 125g PB of 254m+ :shock: and Lee for his 100g PB, very well deserved guys.

Casting was a bit difficult the 1st day with the wind coming on from the side and turning nearly into a head wind at times but day 2 was better (for me anyway with 2 new PB's in the bag) and the weather held out for us too which was great with only a tad of rain on day2.

The pilgrimage to the holy land (Zziplex.Ltd) was the highlight of my trip, spending nearly 4hrs with Terry showing us every stage of his exquisite rod building process and allowing us to hold so many peices of casting history dating back as far as 1929 :shock: a real eye-opener indeed and one i will never forget, and before you ask i only bought one rod 8)
