   jeese john,,,, don't be getting the knickers in a knot. if you read back through all our past posts you'll see that we always have sand eel out with us. we usually get out fishing 2 or 3 days a week and in the past 4 years thats only the second trout i've ever caught. the sand eel is for other fish too. doggies pollack coalies and bass will all take it. and just to clarify things with that trout i caught, he was'nt deep hooked. he was lightly hooked in the corner of the mouth, just bleeding a bit, but thats the chance your gonna take when fishing. but cheers for the advice any how man, duely noted.

the seatrout Al caught was smashing fish    considering the amount of small coalies and suicidal whiting that normally we normally catch on that beach. As for using the sandeel it is a bait Al always uses on all his trips he swears by it 8) 8) 8) as not to many fish will turn it down. The pic maybe didnt do the fish justice it deserved. It had plenty off fight left him after a great tussle on Als spinning rod and was a great sufrprise for us on a slow days angling.
