Shocking news.

I only met him the once when I went down to fish the SPA. He was decent enough to meet up with me after been out to all hours with the rose festival and drive me over and back for the session in his 4*4 out to his prefered mark. All for a fella he only knew through emails and texts.

Very sad news indeed, I only knew Liamo through his posts on this site and indeed he will be sadly missed here. I would like to pass on my deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

like a few others i only knew liam through his posts here but did get a pm from him once with a bit of info i was looking for. he seemed like a top guy.
my deepest condolences go to his family, friends and anybody who knew him.

Awful news, I didn't know Liam, but always enjoyed looking through his website and reading his posts on here, his videos there were mind blowing, RIP Liam.

Never Met him, but heard of him, he drowned doing what he loved most, God rest him, and look after his family at this time.

Dear all,

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts, they mean a lot. As some of you know Liam died tragically on Monday 18th May in a freak drowning in Exmouth, Western Australia. He had spent the last 2 months travelling up the west coast fishing his heart out.

We know anyone who has ever known him or met him is totally devasted. We didn't know about this forum and it's lovely to see all the people he touched. If anyone would like more details or anything please feel free to contact either myself or Caitriona on the emails below and we will keep ye posted.

Update :

I just looked at his videos on Utube. They are brilliant.
It looks like he really died doing what he loved.
I know that's little or no consolation. :( Very sad.

I couldnt believe it when i heard the news.. I only met Liam the once but chatted quite a few times via the site, a genuine nice guy and a great angler, he will be sadly missed.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
