Re: Fishing Trip Boo-Boos: To Avoid
I went fishing early one sunday morning got down to the beach set up my beach buddies two rods and got the traces out when to get the bait. opened the bait bag and there was half a pound of sausages, rashers and some pudding looking back at me. i grab the sunday morning fry up out of the fridge instead of my bait. lucky enough me da didnt mistake the lug for sausages

Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler

Fishing from the bottom of a cliff at night alone
(bad enough, not reccommended) when I decided to adjust the focus on my headlight unscrewed it too far and the glass and bulb fell off into the sea. Had to climb the cliff in pitch darkness but for the light of a lighthouse every few seconds.

I always keep a loo roll in the tackle box for such an occasion

Wrapped up tightly in a waterproof bag, for obvious reasons

going out on a boat with a dodgy tummy
organized a couple of charters last summer got awful fed up with numb nuts backing out due to hangovers or wet weather . wasn't feeling the best one morning (had a bad pint the night before i think it was the 12th or 13th)
going out and wouldn't pull out out of stubborness got on the boat and started changing all the colors of the rainbow even the skipper said he would bring me back to land couldn't lift my head up just kept getting sick
but kept fishing couldn't give in .

Check your electric cool box is set to COOL several times throughout a journey and hasnt inadvertently been changed so you dont subject 1300 maddies on the eve of a hugely important comp to a toasty death.

Power casting the top half of your rod into a very lumpy sea and managing to snap your line in the process so the top half of the rod flies well beyond recoverability.

Went night fishing so I brought my lantern - BROUGHT the matches but no petrol in the lantern
Went night fishing so I brought the head-torch - It lasted about 20 minutes and I was plunged into darkness. TEST YOUR GEAR BEFORE YOU GO!
