Lads,,
before things get out of hand,,
this is the story ,,i sent a mate of mine brian down to a mark i knew was fishing keep in touch etc etc he was staying with me and carol ,,the mobile went off and on the messages,,, was mine is bigger than yours ,,it read having said i had a bass 83cm weighing 14.5 the week before so i called him just put it back he said !! how big ,the biggest bass i have ever seen!!he got a pic only and marked his rod on the length i went FERKING BALASTIC with him when he got back and showed me the pics and the length on the rod the actual length was 88cm from snout to tail and with seasonal fat pig adjustment put this fish at the door of 18lbs i will post a picture soon and then you all can make your minds up
i know in my heart that brian returned a new irish record bass fair play to him he dident seem bothered in the evening but next morning after about 1hrs sleep he was when reality struck of what he had acheived ,,,,so lads its still out there go get him

I've been sayin about all the doubles around the watefrord coastline but guys might be thinkin I'm nuts. I've had an awful lot of double figure fish this year. Interested in your slant on it though.

Well lads I was out diggin a few lug this morning and I met a chap there also digging , he told me about a bass he cought at Kilfarasy the weekend he reckons it was 13.5lbs he said it had net marks on its belly and sides and what he told me next sickened me . " It was stink and it tasted rotten " . could this be the same fish ye were talking about ???? I hope not 
If I'm not gonna catch a fish , I may aswell not catch a BIG fish !

Dont think so craigo, as far as I know the big fish that was caught was released!!,,, I say there is alot of big fish kept that we don't hear about doesn't surprise me much
