crab traps

#30 Post by Brian Cantwell »

Hi All,
I had a good talk with Graham Hill in Bannow today and i can honestly say that that he is disappointed with the accusations being made about him taking crabs from other peoples traps. He showed me all his traps today and he has more than i realised. This was also evident from the number of crabs he had in his bucket which all came from his own traps as i was witness.

He told be that he does not do anyboby else's traps and i have to say that at this point i believe him. Maybe someone else is doing traps knowing that Graham will be accused??????. Only time will tell.

Anyway I think it is time to give the man a break and see what develops over the next few months.

after talking to brian this evening i take back what i said in the previous posts it looks like mr hill is being blamed for doing other traps,my brother has moved to bannow and it will be a matter of time that those lads will be caught,i have to travel a good distance to bannow so at least he will be around to do the traps for me.

It would be pleasant if folk just gone on with fishing and minding their own business. I'm no fan of Graham Hill because of his exploitation of the Wexford coastline and our hard found marks for his own benefit, however if no one has seen him robbing traps then you should stay quiet. Stand up for what is right but the man should have not have accusations thrown if they cannot be substantiated. Maybe a few well placed bear traps might catch the culprit :D

mr quaterfflounder,,
this issue of crabs is closed as far as i am and others are concerned so why start stiring the waters again ,if you do not know me personally mr fflonder how can you say you are not a fan,,,,well mabey you are not a fan or mabey you just plainly dont like me ,,but ,,do i care ,,the answer is no ,i dont,, and remember i live and fish in wexford so one day you may be luckey enough to bump into me while plugging off some windswept rockey cove with your mike ladel (i love my new rod) surespin
and as for exploitation you realy do not have a clue do you,,
i think this may be another case for inspector wexford

good luck!!
