If any irish man deserved a medal after the week in Cork it should be Donal Domney for the work he put in to make the event a success. Nothing was left to chance and only for him and him alone the event could have been a disaster. Yes there were problems , Bait, Venues, lack of stewards etc but in end it was all sorted. The suits would have been glad to blame him if the event was not a success but he made sure it didn't happen, and what an amount of suits at a presentation!!!!!!!!!

he has a habit of copying my techniques on boat trips..

God is maybe a little over exaggerated
calling him midget is now getting over exaggerated

jparicka wrote:PS - I want him to show me some good fishing spots around Galway as I am new in here, so I'm totally popping down to get him a coffee and a sandwich.

he'll only end up showing you the marks i have so far shown him..

Just about starting to wind down, it was some week.
As much as it sounds like a one man show it was far from that.

First thing every morning Liam Power (national trophy officer) and his two grandchildren collected the baits for the anglers and the packed lunches for the stewards.

Al St. Marie who travered down from Dublin, help them sort out the bait with them each morning. Al also distrubited the packed lunches for the stewards each day. These were sponsored by KB BAITS. When I TOLD Kevin I was looking for money he just paid up what I looked for.
The stewards, some just friend and not even members of the i.f.s.a. who kept things in order during the event.
Al also supplied rag for the senior anglers who fished Monday-Wednesday.

John Martin (national recorder) who had score cards and score sheets ready every evening and who had the days results posted in the hotel every night
The Blazers they did their work long before the kick off time.
To the presents from the teams I say AOK
If I left any one out blame the presents
