i cant remember who showed me.. but i've been using it over 17yrs now and rarely had a problem with it..
have had hooks break before the mainline or shock knot has given..
and as you said.. it is very easy to tie.. and when done right it forms into a very small knot

dont know what its called but here goes
i make a granny in leader and pass main line through the loop tighten then wrap the main line 4 times around the leader then make a loop and repeat with another 4 wraps wet the knots and pull together never let me down yet

anyone use this one its the best one i have for braid and doesnt suffer like most leader knots do with braid slicing through the mono use the one steve uses on mono grand and simple for people with bad memory like me :oops:
