noticed that meself mate, last summer fished the channel once, bait was gettin stripped off everytime, even tried wrappin a fine wire round it but was gone every time i reeled in, thats why tryin for trout with spinners looks like a better bet, or a float to keep my bait off the bottom and let it drift maybe?...
