Seeing as we (the club) are fishing it as a comp as well, will we use our score sheet rules, and best 5 scoresheets from north/south to count as total?

Ok lads
Can someone suggest somewhere to meet up, where exactly we will fish.?
Also can we use the SAI club scoring system- for the north vs south- it will keeps things straightforward
jd
summary
minimum size is 20 cm
LSD counts as 20 cms only, conger as 35.

Scoring is
10 x number of fish
+
20 x number of species
+
sum of lengths of fish..(lsd all 20, conger all 35)

to be realistic i think all you stand the chance of catching on benone is flounder with the odd turbot through it and the outside chance of a bass, dog or coalie.
i would say it would be best just to have minimum size at 20cm for everything and 1point per cm, just keep it as that, no species points, due to the fact that if someone catches a turbot at say 20cm, it will take 2 counting flounder to beat it if you give 20pts per species.(provided everyone hits flounder as they likely will!)
minimum size 4 hook
dogs(very unlikely) at 45points

these are the rules and sizes etc we use for the opens up here and they seem to work well..

just my advise for it yet again as i cant make it myself

No so sure
Say x has 7 flounder and 1 turbot all of 20 cm

y has 9 flounder

x scores 160+80+40= 280

y scores 180+90+20 =290

so y wins with 1 extra fish.

Hi Guys,

Just want to get the names of the guys for the N v S match. Just want to make it even.... like 4 v 4 or 5 v 5 or something like that. If there are more people from one side we can do 3,4 or 5 best cards from each side. What ever you guys prefere. We will use SAI score sheets as I am sure one or two of the club will be fishing both matchs.

Cheers,

Kev

Just a thought guys,

It might be nice to have a return leg on one of the east coast beaches and combine the two scores for a total result.

I'll be up for it ,as much for the craic as the fishing .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
