Two hours in boat off bullock harbour, not a single bite. Never seen it this quiet at this time of the year.

Nothing from Greystones yet over the weekend, perfect conditions on late tide but nothing showing

A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

Cheers for the update, was talking to the lads who rent the boats in Bullock and they said the macks haven't come in properly yet. Hopefully they'll arrive in numbers!

bit late but caught 9 over 4 hours Sunday week before last in Wicklow bay (was on a boat but only around 200 yards off the pier).
Hard going but I will say they are very large mack.

Was in killiney today for four or five hours and a few lads up from me were fishing for macs. They spent about 3 hours and drew a blank.

Re: Shore Mackerel Reports '14 here...
Was opposite Roches point earlier on and there was a large shoal cruising about 15m from the rocks. I wasn't fishing for macks at the time but when i saw them glistening in the water i couldn't help but get out the spinning rod
landed about 20 before they moved on. Also if its a sunny weekend evening don't even attempt Cobh or Monkstown etc the piers are absolutely jammers with you know who...
